Missed a payment did not receive paper bill, phone call, text or email

I had a repeating monthly charge average of $35 on my Barclay's card. I received an email from two other credit card companies that I had a late payment on my credit report. This really concerned me because my credit is in the excellent range. I logged on to the websites of all the credit cards I have. I found that I had missed a payment to Barclay's. There had been on paper bill that month. No phone call to remind me the bill was late. No text to remind me the bill was late. No email to remind me the bill was late. They did report me to the credit reporting agencies. Prior to this I had never been late. I had a Barclay card for several years. I always paid it off in full every month. When I called customer service I asked them for my mailing address, phone number and email. The representative confirmed they had all my information. The representative had NO explanation as to why they took the time to contact the credit reporting agency but did not take the time to contact me. Now that this ONE SINGLE late payment on my 40 year credit history is off my record I plan to cancel my Barclays' credit card. I have attempted to contact Barclays' about this issue. The only comment they make reminding me I was late. My credit took a dive because Barclays couldn't be bothered to contact me. One late payment in over 40 years. Thanks Barclay. You do not deserve a good customer like me.DO I contacted Barclays by phone and on their website.and on a facebook page. The ONLY time they responded was on the facebook page. From all the bad reviews on facebook it is my opinion this is NOT a reputable company. Barclays did respond to my post of facebook. They did not address any of my particular concerns.

NO USEABLE CARD FOR MANY MONTHS!

MY CATELOGUE OF PROBLEMS WITH BARCLAYS, GROWS ENDLESSLY ON A DAY-TO-DAY BASIS! EITHER THEY HAVE EMPLOYED A BANKSTER, OR JUST INCOMPETENTS, I CANNOT TELL THE DIFFERENCE RIGHT NOW!

FOR MANY MONTHS I HAVE NOT HAD A CARD, AND PIN WHICH I CAN USE!

MANY MONTHS AGO, I DOWNLOADED THE BARCLAYS APP, AND THEN REGISTERED FOR TELEPHONE BANKING.

INITIALLY, IT WAS EASY-EASY TO REGISTER AND I FELT CONFIDENT THAT THEIR SECURITY SATISFIED ME. HOWEVER, THAT WAS ALL TO CHANGE!

I LEARNT THAT I COULD PERSONALISE MY BARCLAY VISA DEBIT CARD, AND I WANTED TO DOWNLOAD FROM MY GOOGLE PIXEL 4 MOBILE, A NORWEGIAN PAINTING, WHICH I PHOTOGRAPHED FROM THE LOUNGE WALL TO MY MOBILE PHONE. I ENTERED THE BARCLAY APP VIA MOBILE, AND READ THAT I NEEDED TO CLICK TO THE NEXT PAGE IN ORDER TO DO SO. AS SOON AS I LANDED ON THE NEXT PAGE, THEIR WAS A FOREIGN FLAG, I DID NOT RECOGNISE, AND IMMEDIATELY, THEIR WAS A MESSAGE FROM BARCLAYS STATING THAT MY NEW CARD WAS ON THE WAY?

WHAT? I WAS NOT GIVEN CHANCE TO SUBMIT MY OWN PHOTOGRAPH, BUT IT WOULD APPEAR, THAT SOMEBODY (POSSIBLY A BANKSTER A BARCLAY?), MAY HAVE BEEN STALKING ME, AND DID THIS? NOTHING I COULD DO, BUT WAIT TO SEE WHAT ARRIVED IN THE POST? WHEN IT ARRIVED, IT WAS JUST A SIMPLE VISA DEBIT CARD, (SAME AS USUAL, BUT SO MUCH FOR BEING ABLE TO SELECT A PERSONALISED CARD WHICH THEY ADVERTISED!

SO, WAS IT FALSE ADVERTISING? OR DID THE APP DISIGNER FAIL MISERABLY, AND WAS NOT UP TO THE TASK IN HAND?).

AFTER MY NEW CARD ARRIVED, I TRIED TO USE IT LOCALLY, BUT I WAS REJECTED? SO I WENT HOME TO RETRIEVE MY OLD BARCLAY VISA DEBIT CARD, AND TRIED AGAIN IN THE SAME SHOP? AGAIN REJECTED!

LATER THAT DAY, I CALLED BARCLAYS AND WAS SHOCKED TO DISCOVER THE AUTOMATED ROBOT, ASKED ME IF I WANTED TO PAY OFF MY BARCLAY CARD?

WHAT? AS I DO NOT HAVE ONE, WHY WOULD I WANT TO PAY OFF SOMETHING I DO NOT OWN? I REPEATEDLY TRIED CALLING BARCLAY PERIODICALLY THROUGHOUT THE DAY, BUT WAS ALWAYS TOLD, HOW LONG IT WOULD TAKE, DUE TO BEING SHORT STAFFED! MY FRUSTRATIONS GREW, I REPEATEDLY TRIED DAILY, BUT ALWAYS THE SAME MESSAGE.

EVENTUALLY, I WROTE TO BARCLAYS AND STILL HAD NOT RECEIVED ANY RESPONSE AFTER A MONTH! THE SERVICE WAS APPALLYING BAD, AND I BEGUN TO WONDER IF THE BANK WAS GOING UNDER? SOMETIMES, I WOULD BE TOLD THAT THE CALL WAS BEING ANSWERED IN INDIA.

FINALLY, FOR SECURITY REASONS, I CANCELLED THE NEW CARD (WHICH I HAVE NEVER HAD ACCESS TO) AND CHANGED MY CONTACT DETAILS. AGAIN, I WROTE TO BARCLAYS TO INFORM THEM.

I AM STIL L WAITING FOR A NEW VISA DEBIT CARD AND A NEW PIN.

MAYBE, I MIGHT CATCH A GLIMPSE OF A INDIAN ON THE NEWS SCRAMBLING ASHORE FROM A DINGY, CLUTCHING MY NEW CARD AND PIN?

THERE IS AN EVEN MORE SERIOUS COMPLINT MY FATHER HAS WITH BARCLAYS.

MANY MONTHS AGO, AFTER I HAD FIRST DOWNLOADED MY BARCLAYS APP ON TO MY MOBILE, AND ALL WENT PERFECTLY. MY FATHER COMPLAINED TO ME THAT HE HAD SUDDENLY BECOME LOCKED OUT OF HIS BARCLAY ACCOUNT? AFTER CALLING THEM AND COMPLAINING AND FINALLY DRIVING TO THE BANK, HE WAS INFORMED THAT A NEW CARD WAS ON ITS WAY. AS PROMISED, VERY QUICKLY IT ARRIVED.

HOWEVER, NOW I HAD A PROBLEM, AND ODDITIES WERE SHOWING UP IN MY BARCLAYS APP, AND ON THE ROBOT RECORDINGS; FOR INSTANCE, ARE YOU CALLING TO, TO PAY OFF YOUR BARCLAY CARD"? ETC. WHEN I COMPLAINED TO A LADY AT BARCLAYS BY TELEPHPNE ABOUT THIS ODDITY, I WAS AMAZED BY HER REPLY! VERBATIM "THERE ARE SERVICES ATTACHED, WHICH YOU MAY NOT HAVE, BUT DON'T WORRY, IT IS QUITE NORMAL!

I WAS AMAZED!

I WONDER IF IT WOULD BOTH HER, WHEN SHE NEXT CALLS HER EMPLOYERS, IF A ROBOT TELLS HER, "YOUR EMPLOYMENT IS TO BE TERMINATED, BECAUSE YOU HAVE SCREWED UP TOO MANY TIMES AND PISSED OFF TOO MANY CUSTOMERS". OR HOW ABOUT, "I'M DONE WITH YOU, YOU VIRUSED INCOMPETENT, DON'T COME BACK, AND DON;T ASK US FOR A REFERENCE EITHER, OR ALL OUR VERY PISSED OFF CUSTOMERS, WHO NEVER WANT YOU WORKING IN ANY BANK, OR FINANCIAL SERVICES EVER AGAIN, WILL COUGH, COUGH, COUHG ALL OVER YOU..."COVID 19 ATTACK".

I WILL BE INFORMING IN ANOTHER SESSION, A VERY GRAVE, SERIOUS, FRAUDULENT ACTIVITIES WHICH HAS OCCURED OVER A MONTH AGO ON MY FATHER'S BARCLAY CARD.

BUT SORRY, I NEED TO REALLY SHARPEN UP MY CLAWS A BIT MORE, BEFOREKNOR RIGHT THROUGH TO THE BONE ON THAT ONE!

IT WOULD APPEAR THAT THE RATINGS BELOW, HAVE AUTOMATICALLY BEEN SET AT 5 STARS?

Barclays alters your credit card statements at will. Barclays punishes you for doing business with them

Even if you have good credit, Barclays will do a hard pull of your credit file, Then, Barclays will tell you that your credit reports are bad. Then, they will lower your credit limits so low that you can not use your Barclays accounts. I have seen Barclays alter my credit card statements while I was online making a credit card payment on the phone to my Barclays accounts. I was also been told by Barclays employees that this has happened to them. They are afraid to speak up in fear of losing their jobs... It seems the more business you do with Barclays, the more you get punished by them. Barclays will destroy your credit on purpose, if they don't like you. Thanks, Mike B.

Cut my credit line

I have been a long time customer. I get a letter in the mail, cutting my credit line. I am not late on payment, in fact all i owed them was 5.66, which i paid off today and closed the account. I will never do business with them again. The credit line was not that much .I got credit through another company which is 8 times more credit and lower interest. The letter says they pulled my credit report that is why they did what they did.. said my credit was bad. come on i keep a eye on my credit it is average.

Today at 14.27pm the amount of £29.92 went out of my barclays account and I did not use my card or order from deliveroo at all. In fact I don't use deliveroo. That money is for bills due tomorrow and shopping to feed my 3 kids. Someone else used my card without my consent. I have been in touch with barclays and the money needs to be put back into my bank account today. It's fruad on my account. There are no personal details held of mine as I don't use deliveroo. This really really needs to be resoluved and the people that did this dealt with. Management knew but did nothing.

Need someone done. Things like this are not good.

Really need some attention to this. Why?? This is not a phony complaint, now this is real, so real what is it.

I could not write a phony inquiry or review. This is real.

First my inheritance came to Barclays bank in March 2019. Was only supposed to be there just to be sent out. Well this is Nov of 2020, and things have only gotten worse, yes gotten worse.

What I say here is truthful and not false. I would not make a false complaint no.

First my inheritance came to Barclays bank in March 2019. Immediately two scammers entered the picture. One was BW the other was PM.

The management was informed of it, they cared less. In fact what else came out was this. There was a person in Barclays bank who set up the scammers. Yet now they have done nothing about this, no.

Meantime the pocket fees continued and continued to come, and we couldn't stop them either.

The management was basking in the illegal pocket fees.

There were months of this pocket fee or that pocket fee. Still never stopped either,

Now to bring you up to current happenings. We were forced to sign a phony will, yes a phony will to finally get the money. And a bunch of more money for pocket fees for the probate person to sign it.

AS of now, awaiting the final of this now.

I ask this. Why has this bank allowed fraud in their bank. Don't they understand that this is wrong. Or do they care.

Or is this just more pocket fees for someone in the bank.

This needs to end. The pocket fees need to be refunded, and the people in charge of this need to be punished.

Have more documentation if needed.

I really wish that someone seeing this msg would be able to help with resolution on this. But can it be done.

OPENING HOURS DISMAL

Wtfunable to give one star as two come up when you click one. Actually wanted to give zero but you don't give us a chance for that. My Middleton branch only opens from10 to 2. Why cant staff work full time instead of blaming the virus to work part time. Most people working there also are quite nasty and maybe should get a job not working with customers.

Fraudulent charges on JetBlue card

I've had to change my cc # at least 3 times in the last 6 months due to the appearance of fraudulent charges. Recently Barclay's has put a $696.39 fraudulent charge back on card saying they found it "valid" - no reason given. Since then customer service has either been completely MIA, or useless. I've overnighted a letter to "customer security" in Wilmington, DE and received no response. I've also reported the incident to the BBB in Delaware.

They also put their customers in dangerous situations by forcing you to use your accrued points for Uber only, with the Uber credit card. There is a lethal pandemic but Barclays does not care about you, only its greedy profits.

What a disgusting company. They used to let you use your points to reduce the statement balance but reneged on that after you get the card which might be illegal.
